Ah the CS forum back in the old days, now that was a forum full of muppets :)

Having fallen afoul of Boards moderators many a time my support does not naturally fall with them (based on the cs forum of many moons ago).

didnt follow issue all the way through,
however in principle i would have to agree with dev, especially if the 3rd party site is linked to in boards.

Didn't read the original thread but I think it's fair enough in principle. I don't like the idea of somebody basically using another site to bypass the Boards charters to act the muppet.

The problem with open forums as I see it, is that many folk seem to think their opinion on any given matter is correct. Its a common fault in people who are not me.

Yeah there's no doubting that the soccer forum seems to be gobshite magnetic of the highest order and that GuanYin seems to get an inordinate amount of flak.

And as you say its Devore's (and co.) site if he wants to ban someone then he doesn't really need a justification.

Though that been said banning people for their actions on an unrelated forum seems a bit of an overstep. Added to which if it had been an 'ordinary' user no action would have been taken.

I just found it amusing the closing of ranks by the admins and rush to justify the predicament they've placed themselves in.

But sure it'll have all blown over by the end of the week. :)

If Dev feels like banning someone, he probably has good reasons, I've no probs with him being Dictator in chief. And there's an awful lot of daft posters on the soccer forum, a few less would be no bad thing.

I'd post this in the shoutbox, but someone never got around to getting links parsed in it :)

Anyone following the thread on boards.ie where Helix got banned for posting about a boards.ie moderator on another forum site.
Curious as to what people think of it.
