LOTR Online
There's an interesting preview on Eurogamer which prompted me to look for some opinions from people playing the Beta. The consensus seems to be that this could be the first mmorpg to seriously challenge WoW and I've pretty much decided to buy it when it comes out.
Anyone else thinking about getting this?

Re: LOTR Online
I was on the beta and must say I was rather unimpressed with it.
I found it offered nothing new or above WoW, yes its nice going sightseeing around the place, but once you get past the whole, ohh its middle-earth, I shall be Ganfald the wizard, I found it much of a muchness. Same as I did with Dungeon and Dragrons online.
Don't get me wrong its well done and the mission are fun, but it lacks that certain charm (and quirkiness) the WoW has, while not offering the same feeling of danger you get in Eve.
If you're looking for a new addiction I suggest you take a look at Age of Conan : Hyborian Adventures

Well I hope between LOTR, Conan & that Warhammer one, a game emerges that betters WoW. Else I'll stick to real life!

First review of LOTRO here
To be honest I wonder how objective the review is but it looks as though this may well be worth checking out.

I knew you wouldn't last!
Take a look over at boards.ie in the MM forum - it looks as though a boards guild is being put together. We're just debating which server to use.

I am weak
Yeah I saw the thread on boards, undecided as to which server to go for but I know a few of the names on Snowbourn.
Now to think of a cunning name.
