Worthwhile application/utilities you should have.

I thought it might be interesting and useful to get a list of applications people find useful/essential going.
I'll kick the ball off with a few I think are worth having, I'll add more as I think/find them.

- Portable Apps - This is a collection of application which can be installed on a USB drive. It includes browsers, email, word processor, putty(ssh), games etc. The nice thing is that your history and documents are all kept local to the USB drive and nothing touches in PC. Handy say for work PC's :)
- SpaceMonger - A graphical view of the space usage on a drive. Dead handy for figuring out fast where all that space went to. A newer 2.1 version which is shareware is also available, but I prefer free one linked above.
- uTorrent - I guess everyone has their own favourite bit torrent client, this is mine; nice and small footprint, but lots a features.
- TorrentFlux - For those of use with a spare machine or two this is a dead handy torrent client that runs via apache/php/mysql and python. Allowing you to remotely via a web browser to queue/process bit-torrent downloads along with integrated search function using the main torrent clients.
- Ubuntu - The friendly face of Linux (based off debian) very useful when combined with torrentflux for example. The server version will run on almost any old pc.
- DVDShrink - It's an oldie but goody, assists in *ahem* archiving DVD's to single layer DVDr's.
