There's an interesting interview on Eurogamer with Firaxis' Tim McCracken regarding the forthcoming expansion for Civ IV - Beyond the Sword. The new options for advanced starts should be very interesting when it it comes to multiplayer. The Final Frontier scenario sounds great too. Read the interview here

I've been following this title with some anticipation, the advanced starts are probably the most exciting feature, it sounds a far better solution to the early game doldrums than "medieval start".

It sounds pretty good alright, warlords was a bit of a let down as far as content. Plus the space mode sounds interesting.

Warlords didn't introduce much new material, but what made it in was very well balanced, I worry they're chucking everything they have lying around into BTS without enough thought to the underlying power balance.

Also, I don't like the idea of these cheap anti-tank and anti-air units, granted they're trying to stop any one tactic from dominating, but it seems to me that in neutering the tank and bomber end game apocalypse they're removing the 'must have oil' aspect.
