Battlefront.com has announced the release of its latest Combat Mission game employing the new CMx2 game engine, Combat Mission: Shock Force:

The long wait is over and the first Combat Mission game to be released in four years is now available! Featuring both our innovative turn-based WEGO system as well as all new Real-Time play, this modern tactical combat simulation is poised to raise the bar once more for computer wargames.

To download or order the game, visit BattleFront.com.

There is also a Combat Mission: Shock Force demo, which includes:
  • Two scenarios playable from either the US or Syrian side
  • All multiplayer modes are active (TCP-IP, PBEM, Hotseat)
  • You can access and play with the full Game Editor (save function is disabled)
  • The full 200+ page game manual (pdf format)
The demo is available from http://battlefront.com/products/cmsf/downloads.html

As PBEM is included, anyone fancy a game?

What's your take on it Nog? Worth getting? I think I might wait until they patch the crap out of it before I consider getting it.

Undecided at the moment, need to take a few hours and read the manual then play it a bit more. Really poor FPS for what are fairly piss poor graphics, which is annoying.
