Damn... how I miss all those days as a student playing BG 2 on my laptop till 7am. What a great game that was, and that whole drow part was so atmospheric.

I remember reading these books, yeeeeeeears ago. They weren't exactly high brow but pretty entertaining if memery serves me correctly.

I read these books when I was 12 or 13 - they were very low brow predictable and formulaic alright - very traditional, making no attempt to be something more than ...

I've been trying to avoid reading the Malazan books because I hate it when I have to wait years for the next release, but I bought these the other day.
