Anyone for a new game of Civ !
Right I'm itching for another game of Civ4.
Perhaps like the one 'tash suggested we try.
So who's in? We could look to start it say on Sunday or there abouts, which should give Wang King Wong a chance to join if he's up for it. If there’s numbers we can start without him, serve him right for going on holiday.
There's myself, chipmunk and Nog anyway. Leave it up to you guys if you want to use a fancy alias.

Buenas dias comrades! I have come, hot with revolutionary zeal, and armed with a tasty range of carbonated beverages.
I will be Catherine of the Russians in any new game, as I enjoy dressing in the clothes of the senoras, but I am not liking the hated Spaniards and the Engleeesh are too ugly, and have terrible taste in ladies undergarments.
I don't mind the style of game too much, but would like something other than Archipelago for a change. Highlands has been suggested during some private correspondence, the choke points might be interesting. Medieval is actually quite a nice start era.

id be interested.
id spoke to the Reverend and togwana before about doing a custom map (british isles). but i couldnt find any decent maps (there were loads for civ 3 :() and id have to build it from scratch (thus having full knowledge of the map, but i was going to create similiar starting spots for everyone), needless to say i have yet to go beyond the "concept" stage :).
could still be done if desired

Ah yes another game sounds great. That dictator has been strutting around like he owns the place following the last one. I'm not too fussy at all about the map but I do share a desire to leave archipelagos and islands aside. Highlands is a nice choice but I'm not too picky.
I'll be Elizabeth.
I'll be Elizabeth.

Some thoughts:
So far we have Rev, Chipmunk, BoN, Me, Byz-Bur, Justice and I happen to know a 7th emperor is waiting in the wings, so Max (if interested) would be an 8th...
This is a lot of people! I think teams would be difficult to organise (who goes with who etc.) but it might speed up the game. Obviously it only really works with even numbers....

Greetings men,
I believe I am the mysterious emperor you have been hearing all about.
I'll just go off and pick an emperor now, just registering my interest.

I would be interested as well.
I've no strong preference to any terrain type.

Re: Anyone for a new game of Civ !
Sounds like we pretty much have the numbers for a game as it is.
if I've got it right its
Phillis McGee, Mick McKnee, Ciego Montero, Byzantine Bureaucracy, justice.
How about we give it a day or two more and if there's no more additions to the list we start it on friday ?
I'll let 'tash setup the game and post the initial turn when he's ready.

Re: Anyone for a new game of Civ !
Thankee Rev, I will set it all up to everybody's satisfaction and post the first turn very soon indeed, say Friday evening. If you have nation preferences, speak now or face the randomiser and almost certain disappointment.
They line up as follows.
Phillis McGee:
Mick McNnee:
Ciego Montero: Catherine of Russia
Byzantine Bureaucracy: Elizabeth of Engerland
Justice:
Ghengis Kant: Ghengis Khan of Mongolia
Perhaps we could have a new forum Rev? That the fresh faced emperors and empresses might enjoy a degree of privacy from the barbarous games being run next door.
