Battlestar 03x20 - Crossroads Pt. 2

[spoiler]First a few interpersonal items. Seems like Anders is getting comfy with Seelix, right? Wrong! In fact, Anders is going to have a hot and heavy make out session with Roslin's aid Tory! Well, something has to bring them together because this thing with the mysterious music that Anders, Tory, and Tigh are hearing has to come to a head at some point. Oh and speaking of the music, next week you can add Tyrol to the list of people who are hearing its mysterious strains. (Which happen to be, get this, Bob Dylan's "All Along the Watchtower". Yes, I'm frakkin' serious.)

Baltar is found not guilty! Part of this might be Lee's speech on how they are all guilty of making choices that have cost lives, Roslin, Adama, all of the leaders in the fleet have left people behind, and none of them have been held accountable. So, Baltar is a scapegoat. It's a tight vote, 3-2, and Adama Sr. winds up being the swing vote. A fact that doesn't endear him to Roslin.

Tyrol, Anders, Tory, and Tigh meet in a launch tube to discuss the mysterious music. They decide amongst themselves that they are Cylons, and coincidently the Cylons attack. What are the new found Cylons to do? Well they return to their posts for duty, of course. Are they really Cylons? Uh... I'm thinking this has to be like a Cylon implant thing or something. But who knows. The producers did say the reveal would challenge our sense of what makes a Cylon a Cylon.

The ending. My god... the ending. As the Cylon's attack, Baltar is wisked away by the cult that has formed around him. The courtroom empties in a hurry. Lee's first impulse to to head to the hanger for action, three piece suit and all. He picks up an unidentified craft on radar and investigates, When he gets there he sees Starbuck's Viper, but it can't be, can it? Lee approaches and sure enough, in the greatest con job in television history Starbuck is alive (Katee Sackhoff is NOT on the credits for this episode!) She says she has been to Earth and can lead them there. OMG!

what the hell am I supposed to do until the next season in January - wait?!??

Last episode was pretty good. The next series is due to start in Jan 08 but I found this little bit of news:

NEW YORK (Hollywood Reporter) - Sci Fi Channel will air a two-hour episode of "Battlestar Galactica" in the fall, bridging the gap between the current third season and the fourth season slated to begin in January, the cable network said Wednesday.

The episode will feature the whole cast and will not necessarily be related to the story line, Sci Fi executive vp original programming Mark Stern said. It will be filmed in the next few months as the show returns to production and will then be marketed as a separate DVD.

Picked this up on the wikipedia:

Sci Fi Channel confirmed on March 21, 2007 that part of the show's renewal for a fourth season of 22 episodes includes a television film to be released sometime in Autumn of 2007. The film will compose two of the 22 episodes, and will be shown on Sci Fi.[1]

According to IGN, "the movie will indeed focus on an untold story about the Battlestar Pegasus, and feature Admiral Cain (Michelle Forbes) ... While this story with Cain occurs before she and the Pegasus crew joined up with Galactica, the entire cast of the regular series will appear in the movie, as the Pegasus portion is portrayed via flashbacks"[2].

Ronald D. Moore has stated, "The story will be set on the Battleship Pegasus and will take place in the past, relative to where we are in Season 3. But the events set up in that story will then pay off in Season 4."[3] He added, "One of the story lines everyone had really liked was the Pegasus story and the character of Admiral Cain, so we decided to go with that."[4] Moore has also said, "We'll try to reassemble most of the Pegasus cast"[5]

At least one entertainment news service has reported that the film will revolve around the Battlestar Pegasus three months after the Cylon attacks.[6]

Which explains why the 4 fourth series is only 20 episodes long.

As for what to watch until January, well there's always the Heroes which returns end of this month and Rome (which has just finished session two).
I alas am in a bind and will need to locate something else having spoilt my Rome viewing in a two weekend orgy of the stuff recently :(
Anyone got any other suggestions, save me from coronation street and fair city.
