Beyond the sword, game settings anyone?

All post that are interested!

Shall we try something new for a change, quick settings as usual but the start point?

I flatly refused to be left out by some trifling matter of actually possessing the game. If it starts in the next fortnight, I will have someone play my opening turns.

There are six regulars hereabouts, all of whom have it or have said they're getting it soon. I don't think more players than that is a good idea. Dictator's has been slow.

With advanced starts, an earlier starting period would not be so bad. With medieval start, games tend to be a bit formulaic, besides, we had 3 such games so far. I don't think anybody wants to return to the one settler, one warrior ancient start though?

Count me into any forthcoming endeavour. I could play MDs turn's as well while he is on leave, if hes ok with that.

I haven't looked into advanced starts in any great amount of detail, but I think we could perhaps go for a classical start with a generous amount of points, enough for a tech or two, or maybe a city or two and a couple of units.

Yeah I'd be on for another game. A later start with points sounds good.
I think limiting it to 4-5 players seems to work best keeps the turns running at around 1 to 2 days for a full cycle.
If any new blood arrives I'll forfeit my position for them, we can always run another if there's enough ppl.

Hello gentlemen :)

You can count me in for a game or several now that I finally uninstalled Quake 2.

I hate you all. >:(

I believe I will be Freddy the German in the new game. What he lacks in facial hair, he makes up in Prussian authority. I presume we're playing with restricted leaders?
