Protected Assets: BTS

Post by MoustachioedDictator »

I finally managed to get BTS installed on my laptop, but now I find that saves are incompatible, I get the same error I got when civ vanilla version was changed.

I'm running BTS 303 according to about, but I note that the save version is 300. I've attached a screenshot of my about page, can somebody whose game is working tell me if there's differences?

I have already played a BTS turn on my desktop PC at home, and it worked fine so I'm at a loss as to the problem now.

Protected assets means that you're not patched up correctly.

When I ran the BtS patch first it only patched the Civ4 install I had to repatch to get the BtS content updated.

I am running 3.02, Ive downloaded 3.03 but not installed it as it seems to have no worthwhile game changes or enhancements. I imagine the others are also running this version as I have had no problems loading their saves.

I've uninstalled and reinstalled civ4 and bts about six times today. seventh time was a charm.

I can now play my turns, rejoice ye faithful. All is well... for now.
