Snore, nearly five days now.
To be honest I've kind of lost interest in this particular game.
How about we wrap this one up and restart another on a much faster speed. Max's game is a good example, with the turn around between 1-2 days typically.

I'll keep playing to keep the numbers up but my hearts not in it, if people wish to continue.

So what people think, should we continue or start another game.

Answers on a postcard.

What about using the pitboss thing? Or is that still mad unreliable?

Having to wait over a week for your turn does kind of kill the whole thing. I'm happy either way, either continuing (a little faster if possible) or starting a new one.

I'm easy. If we were to start again, maybe start at a later date like medieval times. I think you get one or two extra cities to start with and extra units. Would give more meat to a turn.

Yeah good idea, or even one of the scenarios? I haven't played any Civ IV scenarios but fighting WWII or some such would be a good laugh, and a hell of alot shorter.

Little bit put out by the slow pace, all right. Haven't played enough though to feel one way or the other about this game.

I'll level with you - my City is still doing what I asked it to do a good few turns ago, my armies are either camped at home or shuffling back and forth because I'm on an island and my neighbour (Spandexia, if I remember correctly) is blocking my path and I didn't want to declare war yet. Technology is proceeding steadily, but no great shakes as I'm still on what I consider 'foundation' technologies (i.e. ones that become vitally important later on).

Basically, it hardly feels like I'm playing at all.. it feels more like 'waiting'...

I'm easy, but maybe a new game running at a fast speed and/or started later would be good.

btw here's the turn.
