you big liar cully, you were on all afternoon!
anyway he's right, the queues were back up to pre cloning size tonight, totally sucks.
BUT, all the servers with a decent number of order on have destruction queues. This is a PvP game, is there any point joining a server where you've no one to fight? That's basically what will happen if you roll destruction on a server with order at medium or lower... One thing a few in head hunters are doing is logging on when they get home, to get in the queue, then going to do dinner/spend time with family/watch porn while they wait. A couple of them are using vnc to log on remotely from work before they leave even. I know this is not what a 'casual' gamer should have to do, but I honestly believe rolling on a server with medium order is just not going to be fun to play... I guess what i'm saying is there's no point complaining about queues, and then going to a server with nothing to do. I've heard from others on a server with a relatively low order population that the scenario queues are like 30 minutes (compared to just about instant on eight peaks)
On another note, Noel and I were playing on azgal (order side) tonight (monday), I'm quite liking the archmage. Noel's char is Manindress and mine is Moonbeam.

Both sides of Anroc seem balanced, certainly a lot more than the queue-tastic ones on azgal and 8 peaks with their destruction zergs.
Yes its not jam packed but neither is it empty. That said I haven't actually tried the PvP on but I think the numbers are there to have good fights.
I'd certainly recommend it to you Max and Noel if you'd actually like to play the destruction side. I'm certainly on for an evening of it tonight if anyone fancies teaming up, I'm sure cully will be there for one and I'll try and rope blister in as well.
tbh I think its nuts going to the lengths of using a remote desktop to a game so you can queue to play it, its meant to be fun not some life commitment where you have to prepare an hour or more before you actually sit down and play the game hoping you aren't disconnected or anyone calls

Yeah i popped on for about 10 mins then let my little lad roam around in a pq, i did get another 20 min session before dinner i recall.Foxinsocks wrote:you big liar cully, you were on all afternoon!
I joined rev lastnight but got absolutely no scenarios in the whole hour i was on :( i love levelling up via scenarios when im not on for questing.
PQs were empty and i just felt lonely, yes i had no queue at peak times but it just didnt feel right when i got on.
I usually join a queue, set my little lad up on xbox 360 or wii beside my pc on my other monitor, then he calls me when my char is logged in :)
Its worth mentioning that i used the find party option for Pq i found nobody in the whole zone in any form of group :(,i moved on to marshes of madness as i just hit lvl 10 here again i found absolutely nobody :(
rvr and a lot of PQs need a decent amount of players.

Ok, getting disconnected is no longer a problem, there's a timeout now they patched in on monday. Means that you can now change character or crash without having to requeue. It's not like its a full hour of preparation, it just means a tiny bit of planning! It's not like you have to sit at your PC for that hour or anything like that. Even if you crash while in the queue when you get back online again it gives you back your same spot in the queue so you don't have to start from scratch again. Of course one problem with this now is it's making the initial queue longer because people arent timing out so quickly.Rev Hellfire wrote:

This is what i'm saying rev, if the world is empty whats the point of playing? SO much of the game is rvr and public quests. Yes, you can just solo quest for your exp, but it's nowhere near the same fun.I joined rev lastnight but got absolutely no scenarios in the whole hour i was on i love levelling up via scenarios when im not on for questing.

I hear what you're saying I'm just not listening naaah naaah naaah
I'd agree that if you're focusing on the PvP side of things its not a good setup, but I have my order toons for that. The simple fact is I get home and have maybe an hour at the most to play there and then, more like 20 minutes.
Then later on I have another 1 to 2 hours depending on if I'm minding sadhbh. Queueing for an hour just isn't going to work.
Now I'm pretty sure that the queues will die down in time, but for now its just not practical.
