Civ4 Patch v1.61
It's out, a lot of fixes/tweaks... So are we changing? will it muck everything up if we do?

Civ4 Patch v1.61
well it would certainly have to all or none, as some of the tweaks could unbalance things, reduced hammers for wood chops for example.
and presumably the saves aren't backward compatible...

I don't see any reason not to upgrade.

Civ4 Patch v1.61
I vote we change as well, since this game will last a good while, and I'm damned if I'm waiting to upgrade!
I see the final release of pitboss is out as well, but no mention of Linux support.

If it doesn't break the current game, then upgrade.

Civ4 Patch v1.61
okey-dokey... I'm dLing the patch, i'll take my turn patched (Habrak may, or may not have done the same already...)
Either way, everybody should upgrade before playing their next turn.
here's a .exe version if it makes a blind bit of difference... executable!

Civ4 Patch v1.61
I loaded my turn (2000BC) in v1.61, but it's now 1600BC. I don't know what happened, but I don't like the smell of it. In terms of my empire (mighty) everything is as expected re. production/tech etc.
I think I'll revert and play my turn in v1.52, and if we change, it should be Habrak who plays the first turn, as he's the one who changes the year...

Civ4 Patch v1.61
I think the time thing is actually normal, if somewhat confusing.
One of the changes in the new patch is:
