Site Hosting

Post by Rev Hellfire »

Well we're coming up to the renewal time for the sites hosting and I'm thinking that its a good time to look at changing host. While hosting365 may have been good at the start I've noticed quite a bit of lag when pages are loading and the occasional downtime. Certainly for what's just a little forum with few users you'd expect quicker responses.

So anyone got suggestions for alternative hosts? I was debating going with BlackKnight or perhaps DigiWeb purely since they're Irish based, but I'm happy to look elsewhere.

I wouldn't know about such things. Don't recall having problems with the site though.

Had very few problems with Blacknight, that's where I host.

So anyone else noticed issues or is it just me?
I'm happy to leave things as is if I'm the only one getting problems.

OK, We're moving home as of tomorrow.
I've bought hosting for us on digiweb and have uploaded the contents of the site there. There's a hell of a load of attachments here :)

Any attachments uploaded between now and then well mostly not get transferred, though postings and shouts will be.
