TV Recommendations

Post by Rev Hellfire »

Its a disaster! Most of the TV shows I was following have ended their season or in the case of SGU gone and got themselves cancelled. balls.

So anyone got any good recommendations my cousins in the states should be looking at sending me ?

Yeah I was annoyed about SGU too. I thought it was pretty good.

I presume you've seen Game of Thrones? Right up your alley.

Also, Forbrydelsen aka The Killing is the best thing I've seen on TV for years. Get the BBC ones though, as otherwise the subtitles are crap. There's a US re-make but watch the original Danish one. There's a second series but I'm going to wait for it to air on BBC as again, the subtitles are appalling.

The Event is ok too but that is lurching towards cancellation.

Yeah watching the game of thrones, its excellent, even the misses thinks so. High praise indeed for a fantasy series.

Started "The Event" but kind of went off it, now that I know its due for cancellation seems little point.

Started watching "In Treatment" which is excellent. Also tried Camelot, which is passable but nothing great.

Seems pretty lacking in the sci-fi genre atm.

What did you make of it? Takes a few episodes, but once I got into it I watched two seasons in two nights.

Haven't had a chance to really give a run, but it looks ok from what I've seen so far.
Just need to encode more up for my phone.

The Killing looks good, mrs Hellfire is very much into those type of programs.

The Killing is a slow burner. Took me about 3 episodes to get into it but then I was completely hooked.
