Theatre of War

Lying somewhere between Close Combat and Combat Mission, by all accounts it is an instant classic.

Looks as though it can be bought online from here. I'm going to try and get it this weekend & will report back.

I've been looking forward to this one, will read the reviews tho as battlefront have released some stinkers, along with the best strategy pbem games ever, the combat mission series.

If its good, i'll be buying it!

Actually, the feedback on it from the Blitzkrieg PBEM club is pretty dire, so you might want to download the demo first and try thatm I know I will now:

I would have downloaded and played the demo if it weren't for the acursed piss & its minions, beer and red bull. Feedback on their forum suggested the game is awesome.

After trying the demo, I think theres a really good game there behind a very poorly thought out interface. Whats with the horrific camera controls? Why does a good crew faced with tanks dismount from a truck and have to BE TOLD to man their gun? It drove me mad :)
